We have expanded the fishing options a bit. My son, “BJ”, is guiding now and we have a 26 foot Seavee center console that we both run for a variety of fish - from Grouper, Snapper, Dolphin and Sailfish to wreck fishing in the Gulf, plus Tarpon live bait fishing for up to 4 people during Tarpon season. We still both guide on the flats but now can do everything from A to Z. This winter the Grouper fishing was awesome out here by the reef - sometimes less than 2 miles out. The King fish, Amberjacks and Sailfish were good too. Yellowtail Snapper is a blast to catch and great eating. With the summer coming on the big Mutton Snapper will spawn in June and July. The Mangrove Snapper will be abundant on the reef. Dolphin will be jumping in the boat and a lot of these fish can be caught on fly for the fly fishing enthusiasts.

Tarpon, Bonefish and Permit have been red hot on the flats. There is something for everyone now year around. From meat fishing to sport fishing. Flats, reef, offshore and Gulf - we do it all. The September/October fishing last year was excellent for resident Tarpon. Hooking sometimes 30 fish on fly in one morning. The Bone fishing is at its best then and there’s Permit around also. There is still time available in June and July, which are great all around months to fish for everything.
